This paper addresses the characteristics of a work space created following a particular point of view: to underline the right to work as part of the process of externalizing mental health users. We will tell its history, its formalization as a substitutive device to the logic of the asylum and we’ll pay special attention to the voice of the coordinators and the users. At the same time, the work itself is questioned concerning the possibilities offered by this alternative device to users who have been hospitalized for a long time.
